Award-Winning Bottles

16 Mile Amber Sun Ale Beer Bottles
The distinctive look and feel of the 16 Mile Brewing Company bottles cannot be ignored. These aluminum bottles attract your eye with their vibrant colors and etchings that feature local landmarks. However, it’s the feel of the bottles that is truly captivating. Lightweight and durable, these bottles are definitely impact-resistant. While the inner liner keeps our beers true to taste and aroma, the outer layers of the bottle provide excellent insulation allowing the beer to chill faster. Compile all of these factors and you have an excellent product in the best package for customers at the park, beach or marina.

The advantages of our aluminum bottles extend well beyond the drinking experience. During the initial transport to the restaurant or retailer, distributors report that with the lighter aluminum bottles they can place more cases on a pallet. This means that less shipments are needed and less trucks are on the road, thus reducing fuel consumption and emissions. After 16 Mile brews are enjoyed, consumers can feel confident knowing that the bottles are 100% recyclable. That’s a significant improvement to the environment that benefits everyone.

"While we realize our initial cost is higher with an aluminum bottle, the overall savings for our operation and the environment is immeasurable,” reports Brett McCrea, 16 Mile Owner. “We are proud to join other beverage producers who have recognized the substantial benefits of the new aluminum bottle.”

Adelle Abney Designs created the extraordinary graphics and logo for each of the 16 Mile bottles.  The Amber Sun Ale bottle earned a bronze award at The CanMaker Magazine 2009 Cans of the Year competition for Exal Corporation, the bottle's maker.
